South Dakota spring turkey hunt in the Black Hills. We got 2 feet of snow on Friday, but my son got this Gobbler into range and he took his first Gobbler with his recurve. He is 16 and now has got a gobbler with a shotgun, compound and a recurve. He is making me look bad!!

0306,

Now all he needs is one with a pellet gun and he'll have the grand slam of turkey taking methods....
....Congrats on a fine gobbler.

P.S.
With all that snow. Will that help the praire pothole country?

The Snow will help with the pot holes. But we still need H2O. It is oe of the wettest years in the last 8 years but we are still making up for the drought years.

Too cool! I am sure you are proud. I will be taking a few junior hunters out here in the next two weeks, nothing better!

Thanks all, I am very PROUD. Just a side note on the hunt, he wasnt in a blind, he was hunkered down in some dead fall, and watched the bird for 2 hours in order to get it into a range and take a good clean shot without the bird jumping.
