Red Dot Scopes

I like the reviews I'm seeing on the Ultra Dot scopes. Has anyone had any experience or heard anything about the Vortex Red Dot scopes? What I like about these is, unlike many red dot scopes this one is fully multi-coated.

Sorry, no help on the Vortex, but I have an EOTech holographic red dot scope on a combo gun 12 Ga/.223 Rem. One MOA dot and 65 MOA circle.

The Vortex 4 MOA dot seems big for a 1x magnification scope (even with the 2x doubler), although I don't know what you plan to shoot. That EOTech takes 3" 12 Ga mag loads without problems, so it so plenty stout. Just a thought, if you want another option.

It would be on a semi-automatic .22LR pistol. Is the Vortex overkill?
