Red Tail Hawk

I was driving down a road on my way to my favorite quail hunting area and spotted this red tail hawk having lunch.I started taking photos of him from the truck and just kept moving in on him thinking he would fly off at any time, he was not at all concerned with me, he just kept eating, I moved in as close as 10 Ft. I had a lot of media card with me so I took photos until his belly was full and he moved on, 143 photos all toll.

Great shots. I have a resident hawk that routinely patrols our back yard. I have walked to within 10ft of him also while he was feeding. Didn't have my camera at the time. I did set up my game cam in the tree where he surveys from.

Here he/she is a week later. I think it's eating something but I cannot make out what it is in the picture.
