There has been a lot of talk about the refresh pulse. I do see where it is needed in a cam that goes to sleep after a predetermined idle period. But I am using the OWL PF, and wonder if the refresh is really needed? I have tested my cams and found that it takes about 3 seconds to snap a pic after sitting idle for a long time period.
I dont find this excessive, but what do others think?

shrtcirkt, I think that the amount of time required to recharge the flash and trip the shutter varies from one PF to the next. I have two cameras with the same set up, one camera will trip the shutter every time after sitting a long time the other won't. You have to trip the sensor twice to make the camera fire.I also think that your camera will fire quicker with the refresh, but I don't know for sure.
