The Rend Lake Quota Zone in Southern Illinois will close to Canada goose and white-fronted goose hunting at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Rend Lake Zone was scheduled to close Jan. 31, but is closing early because the quota of 2,100 has been reached. The balance of the South Zone, including the Southern Illinois Quota Zone (Alexander, Jackson, Union and Williamson counties) will remain open.
