Bad news, struck out. Good news, Alternate for the Bishop ML. Not holding my breath. This is a good year to save money and payoff some bills.

Petri - So did the FHL Military draw results already come out? I put in but haven't received anything saying yes or no. If you don't get selected do they just not notify you? Thanks

Congrats to those who drew CA elk tags. I struck out on FHL bull tag, civilian side. No bonus points this year since I drew FHL cow tag last year.

Anyone ever stop in to the RMEF place in Missoula? I was there last month and they had two Tule bulls on display. Believe they were the #1 and #2 and both were from Grizzly Island. This is a good time to ponder joining the RMEF since they do a ton of good for elk all over the country.

Congrats to those who drew! Keep us updated, good luck, and have a safe, enjoyable hunt!

I drew the Lone Pine Archery Bull Period 1 - I have never hunted this area or elk for that matter so any advice would be great, such as names and numbers of the wildlife biologist for the area, or just some general info
Thanks everyone

I am from Yreka ca and drew a cow tag for the Marbles. Have lived and hunted here my whole life. Lots of area the elk run around in up here. You will all need to come up and do a lot of scouting. If you ask me a question make sure you have a idea of where your talking about. Northwestern Cali hunt is steep with lots of brush. You will have to spend at least a week just driving around over there to find a track and hope they do not go to far. If you are hunting the Marbles there are tons of guides that take people in. I am not a guide but if you would like help let me know.
