well dudes, during detention, i was able to sneak in abit of hunting, tried a piece of property with an old friend,
as you can see, its gonna be a doozy as they dont hunt thier hogs there[until now} after losing a monster i piped thru the shoulders with my old trusty .270 a couple weeks back,it was time to bring thumper {300win.mag } out of retirement, this was my first
"guides'rifle i bought 20 or so years ago, pretty much smack um with this girl and they dont go to far... so i thought,
spent $120.00 sighting her in with the mandated barnes crap.. i must say,she likes it a heck of alot more than my .270.
awesome groups shooting 180,s. bullet performance,is more of the same, but at least i had a great blood trail to follow,,
i think she,ll be going from now on for man time, and i,ll be retiring the .270 for me and letting my daughter put the hurt to um
with it.. enjoy, the money shot, and as always, keep it real!!!

Hey Matt... what happened to the .325?

But if you're gonna shoot the .30 cal, get you some ETips and see if you don't like those better than Barnes.

Man Hatchet you making me itch to step in the wood again. I've been busy recuperating from my last hog packout fiasco for two weeks now. I've not smell the wood for a while. I think it's time again, but on public land, it's going to take me some work before I can get to share another money shot.

<
Congrats on the hog!

With all the magnum talk, makes me want to let my retired .338 Win Mag say hi in the wood again. That's if I can find copper for it without much hassle.

Nice Hog, I like reading your hunts and seeing the photographs. They aid in making the hunting forum flourish.

L2, you get hurt on the last hunt?[/b]

To be honest, after 36 + hours of no sleep, every muscle in my body stretched to the max for packing out those two hogs, and I made the mistake of pleasuring the significant other that same night I got home. The pay back was two weeks to recuperate. Next time I swear that pant ain't coming off until all the sore muscles are back to normal, and it usually takes only a day or two instead of 2 weeks.
