RGS schedules two-day pheasant hunt in Ossipee, NH


Proceeds used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat

The New Hampshire Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will hold a two-day pheasant hunt at the Green Mountain Shooting Preserve, Green Mountain Road, Ossipee, NH on Friday-Saturday, September 26-27.

The event will also feature a live and silent auction highlighted with the finest selection of quality firearms, artwork and collectable's.

According to Dave Bardzik, a total of 2,000 game birds (pheasants, chukar and Hungarian partridge) will be released in 500 bird increments during the four, 3-hour combination driven/walk up hunts. Registration is $500 per shooter for one day, or $950 for both. Registration fee includes driven pheasant shoot, upland hunt (your dog), lunch and gourmet dinner both days. The event is limited to the first 60 registrants and shooters can warm-up on either the facilities 5-stand or wobble trap.
Hunting hours are 9 a.m. - noon and 1-4 p.m. each day.

As with all RGS fundraiser's, proceeds from this event will be used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat.
