I'm still filling my days with physical therapy & lifting weights. Only 3 more weeks and I'm out'ta here....I've been house-bound for 5 months... My "sentence" is almost over!

How's your shoulder coming along? Are you going to be prepared for opening day?

Man, I sure hope these days keep getting cooler... We finally got some rain, last Thursday ~ did you?

I'm just trying to get some time off from work. I'm off today and tomorrow but have to go back for another week and a half. I won't be able to go out bowhunting till the middle of October and have two weeks vacation Nov 1 thru Nov 17.

I'm changing my routine a bit this year and am not going to scout my land or put my cams out early. It could be a coincidence, but I noticed that I have been seeing less deer since I built the cameras because I spend more time in and out of the woods and must be spooking the deer some.

I'm getting more excited each day that this cooler fall like weather has shown up.

I'm here, still working on getting the "cabin" built before deer season. I sure hope I haven't killed the season for this year. We have been going in and out of the property every weekend since August 19th trying to get the cabin built. I have seen a few does and this years fawns, a lot of turkeys, but only 2 nice bucks...one 6 point and a very nice 8 point. My 10 year old Grandson has seen the 6 point three times already and can hardly wait for the youth weekend season. I will really enjoy that weekend with him.

I'm here!

been doing some scouting with binocs in the PM's, looking at fields. Not seeing any nice bucks tho, like years past. Also noticed I'm not seeing many Young Turk's. I bet all those heavy spring rains killed the nests this year.....

There are some Acorns falling and bet the deer have abandoned the fields for them!

Just made my plane reservation for our annual squirrel/deer/turkey hunt the first week of October. Going to be down by FLW for 3 days and then I'll see where the wind takes me.

If anyone wants to meet up for a bow hunt 10/8 to 10/13 let me know. If you can't make a bowhunt holler if you want to meet up for a root beer or two also.

With all the rain and water I waded through this spring I bet a lot of lil turkeys didn't make it. Going to be lean times next spring or two.

Please tell me the ticks and chiggers have been killed by frost already. PLEASE!!!!

That'd be nice to get together then and hope it pans out. A couple days ago, I went without Permanone because everybody said the ticks and chiggers weren't so bad now! Well, the grownup's weren't too bad but I got a case of seed ticks and maybe some chiggers too, hard to tell the little guys apart sometimes.....

went back to permanone!

It's been too hot to get too excited on the deer (at least for me) 92 today again but cooler outlook......

Jeeze PassThru, u'd let me ride in your New Truck!

Thanks for ya'll checking in, Im back to work and on light duty till the 1st Oct. Just in time for the archery opener, I've been shooting the bow everyday for a week now, except for the rainy ones. Jesse, it would be nice to get together for a hunt or rooty beer, my work schedule will most likely not allow it (retail)...Glad to hear that Chairman is doing better and will be getting out soon. With what the weatherman is saying, it looks like it's going to be steadily cooling down with liklyhood of a few systems moving in during archery season, so Im shopping for some warmer, dryer camo. Good luck to ya'll this archery season, and the methods that follow!
