Just finished wiring up a round dial Owl, nice and simple.  Had problems fitting the cover back on with the rubber shutter switch cover on, ended up with the switch pressed, kept taking pics. Removed case, cut holes in the rubber cover, marginally better. How about just leaving the rubber cover off, and covering the hole from the outside?? See any problems with that? Also, do you need the rubber over the mid roll rewind contact, or will it damage the camera to just push directly on the contact point on the board? Thanks

Shuf,

I have a better idea, take apart and solder the wires running up and down the front of camera instead of on top.run the wires to the side like pictured and out a hole drilled in corner, run wires down through the strap holderglue in place

done, still can use the camera outside of unit if you want
