I just bought the last RS sensor in my town.  When hooked up to the battery the volume is very low as compared to another sensor.  Will this affect the camera application?  Are there any checks that an electronically challenged person can make to verify that the board is good?  Thanks for the help.

Hi Skyhawk,
Battery, Battery, battery.... that's the first 3 thing I'd check :)

Arch,
Checked and rechecked.  Using the same battery, one sensor is barely audible and the other loud and clear.  On the plus side the sensor seems to have the proper ir pickup.  I'm just wondering if the lack of normal volume is a symptom of a problem that will affect its use in a camera.  Thanks for the reply.

Might try switching the speaker. You could have a bad speaker. Of course you don't need it for a camera but it will tell you if its the board or the speaker. Good luck.

It was a bad speaker.  The magnet was not seated properly in the speaker.  Thanks TN for the lead.
