Running stream photo?

Just wondering how you make the water look so cool in your pictures with the water flowing. Hope that makes sense. Seems like i have seen some on here and always wondered what setting you used for that

Slow your shutter speed. Try from .25 to 2.0 seconds.

yep, you have to slow your shutter down and you need to reduce the amount of overall light somehow so that you dont over expose. There are a couple of ways that I reduce light in the photo.

1.) Shoot in very early light
2.) Shoot within the shadows
3.) Use ND+8 filters when shooting in bright sunlight.
4.) Shoot with the smallest aperature as possible (eg f/8, f/16, f/22.. whatever the smallest is) and the lowest ISO possible
(also a tripod, sandbag, etc is required)

I enjoy shooting long exposures, here are a few favorites:

shot with 2 ND8s and a polarizer stacked together

shot among the shadows, early in the morning
