Rush Ranch

Hey guys i drew the DFG share hunt for Rush Ranch and im looking for some insight on the hunt as there isnt much info out there on it. I hear that its not good odds of shooting a pig but any advise for those who have hunted it?

I hunted the first weekend there did archery. I hunted the smaller ares saw lots of signs and 3 pigs. There where to guys hunting larger area and I heard the saw over 20 and shot 2. Lost one when it jumped into the river. I'd suggest using shotgun. And plan on walking. Lots of wet soggy ground, at least in the area I hunted. Some hip waders might be a good idea to keep dry....?

Oh that was me. we were the other hunt party with you that weekend. You heard right. I started with a bow but changed to shotgun. The non lead slugs were not very effective. Took 4 to stop the first pig and the one that got away had 3 in him. Great place to hunt tho.

I haven't drawn the ranch yet but applied for every hunt date.
