Hey All,

My son just finally got his hunting license ( 9 years old) and I am really trying to teach him how hunt properly, without having to spend $700+ doing it. Does anyone know of good public lands in the northern cali sacramento area that are good for hunting pigs? Any private land owners that want to make some extra cash can pm me?

I believe that hog hunting in California is considered big game and in California you need to be 12 years old to hunt big game. This is the case for deer. Get him a shotgun and take him up to Grey Lodge or Sutter and let him hammer the ducks.

Get him a .22. Take him to Cache Creek BLM off highway 20 and 16. Let him plink away those ground squirrels and rabbits.
