Salato Center sponsors junior archery event for beginners Oct. 6

9/28/07

Frankfort, Kentucky - The Salato Wildlife Education Center in Frankfort will host a junior archery event for beginners Saturday, October 6. The event is open to kids ages 10-15.

Archery is a great way to introduce kids to the shooting sports and is something fun the whole family can do together. If your child has always wanted to give archery a try but never had the equipment or the expertise, join Salato Center staff 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. to learn the basics.

The Center's certified archery instructors will lead a fun and informative class that will teach kids the steps to shooting a bow safely and successfully. Salato staff will provide basic instruction, bows, targets and all equipment necessary for kids to try their hand at archery. The event costs $10, and registration and pre-payment are required. The event may be cancelled due to bad weather.
