I updated the info on the Ca Dove hunting webpage with some maps for San Joaquin Valley wildlife areas and the 3 new Ecological areas. I added a dove kill chart too.

The maps of Mendota, O'Neill Forebay, Upper Cottonwood & China Island of North Grasslands, Salt Slough and Los Banos Wildlife Areas show where all thce crops were planted and where the boundaries are.

This is a map of the 3 new Ecological Areas.

ERs usually are open to hunting of small game and some big game. There are many of these small unknown areas across the state and DFG adds some every year. Find out who in the local DFG keeps track of the purchases for the DFG and they can put you on some great unhunted land.

The Ca, dove hunting webpage is at

Jesse, thanks for the info.  I couldn't get the maps link to work, though.

Sorry about that, I thought I checked those links.  The maps work now.

Jesse - You noted that the SBD maps are no longer for sale, but what have you heard about the LA Cnty map?

Hello Mojave,

Last year I checked a couldn't find anyone selling  the L.A. Co. shooting map. I've seen them in some gun shops on the wall where you could trace them. Some sheriff stations have them also on the wall.
