A buddy and I purchased a hunt at the Santa Maria Elk dinner to hunt with this outfit. We have been unable to schedule a date. I get response but no confirmation or date. We have been very open to any date. The last e-mail suggested our guide may wear a camo thong. Has this guy gone off the deep end?? I guess we may have to just chalk up our auction item as a rather large donation!! I don't wish to badmouth anyone, but I don't want to waste a weekend.

Though I never had any bad dealings with this outfit, I believe he has moved to Missouri. Others here may know better.

I would call the dinner organizer and make sure they don't use these guys anymore. Maybe they can get you hooked up with another outfit.

Well, your only other post on JHO was in the thread where SBO was badmouthed pretty hard. You obviously were reading that thread and know what was said about Tom, the good and the bad. So why would you book a hunt after knowing what was said about him on JHO and then come back to JHO asking about who they are? Where's Scooby and those meddling kids when you need them? They would figure this all out and be at the malt shop in less than 30 minutes.

Glad someone else saw that and spoke up.

And to think he would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling kids.

Last I heard he was headed for MO with a pile of money he scammed out of folks here in CA.

I talked with Justin where he was supposed to guide for and Justin said he was MIA there also.

Who knows.

Closing the thread now so it doesn't run on again with people trying to defend the POS.

Just a thought, he had to put up a bond to be a guide. Those that got burned may want to contact DFG and see how you can recoup your money. $1000 is what a guide has to put up for the whole season.
