BDB, Thanks for posting the pics. It's always nice to come to the office on monday after a non-successful archery hunt and see pictures of those who did well. Anyway, your arrow placement was right on! It's amazing how she still managed to travel fifty yards. Nice going. Keep up the pics.

Great job BDB!!

You sure have me beat! --- Haven't harvested a hog yet, but sure hope to soon.
Great pics too.

I have'nt been on here for a while, but remeber meeting you and a bunch of the other cool hunters up at the first JHP'ers FHL Turkey hunt last spring. Hope to hook up with you guys again some time.

Going to FHL this weekend --- leaving tomorrow do a little combo deer/pig. A co-worker here is telling me about CR, thinking of that as a alternative.

Anyway CONGRATS and good luck for the rest of the season.

thetarheelkid,

FYI - just in case you weren't aware...The CR general season hunt doesn't open at the base until Aug 23, and opening day is a drawing/reservation hunt only. Any one after the 23rd can hunt all the way through to Sept 1st (???). But if you didn't put in for the opener already you have to wait until the 24th to hunt deer there. Maybe you already knew but thought I'd throw that out there.

Good luck with FHL, please report back with a story.

Well found out what Deer opener is like at FHL --- and let me tell u doubt I will ever do that again!! Man what a zoo!! They only had two areas open cuz the Military is there in big force. Marines, Army & Navy Seabees.

The two areas where 29&30 so that meant only 41 hunters allowed on base, and the rest of the 175 or so hunters where in the LPNF.

I only saw a does on the base in closed areas and some in the NF, did see one spike buck over in area 5 going out the NF. There where a few lucky hunters with a three decent 3X and one nice 140# buck that came out of TA30 by a hunter Sunday morn about 8:30.

Will post some pics when I get a chance and figure out how to!!

Man was it hot too. I checked so called Accuweather before I went and really couldn't believe what they were suggesting (HI of 65 Low of 40) so much for Accu.
Cus it was 100 easy! Still had a o.k. time and learned some more too.

I know I should have put this on the Mullie page, but since I am still learning and kind of lazy to change this ---- here goes with some pics at Webshots like some of the other guys have done.

They're not to bad for the first effort --- to bad none of these bucks are not mine!!
