2 things that are time bombs waiting to go off for everybody are appendix and gall bladder.

I have had both surgically removed, with the laproscopic method, where the surgeons go in through small holes.

In each case the recovery time is only a couple of days at home in bed with pain pills.

Everyone over 50 should get checked for gall stones with ultrasound. If they find stones, then they can operate and take them out, and your med insurance will pay for it.

For appendicitis you just need to wait until it blows up first, or starts to.

Once the appendix starts to blow, you have about 18 hours to get to a hospital or else you will die.

With a gall stone blockage you have closer to 3 days.

Both hurt a lot.

My wife had three GB attacks during pregnancy. Doctors were like "suck it up" "can't do surgery until baby is done cooking"
