scratched camera circut board

I was cutting a hole for the wire to come out of the camera and i think i scracthed the board. I went ahead and did my soldering and put the camera back together. when i put batteries in it and tried to program the flash it did'nt work. any ideas?

as you discovered, you need to "Remove" the front camera cover to drill that hole.......

All you can do is open it back up and look in the area of the "Scratch" for a broken trace.  If you find it,  they can be repaired by scraping off the lacquer with a knife blade and soldering a strand of wire across the break.  Cracks can be hard to find, try a magnifying glass.

the scrath is plain to see. the gold wire seems to be intact.

add another thing not to do. jumper wire from extra flash(disp. cam) to phono plug.

Markr,

Are you sure it's the scratched trace and not something else you did, like a bad solder joint?  Did it work before you tried to drill the hole?

Are you using and owl pf?
