Just out of curiosity: between what months do wild boars go in to their seasonal rut?
Would this be a more productive time to hunt them since they would be preoccupied chasing sows?
Also, some have said boars are largely nocturnal and feed at dawn and dusk, being in the rut would that mean they would be out and about throughout the day?

Matt,

Hogs aren't really seasonal breeders like deer. There's a thread further down in here somewhere that discusses that very topic.

Sows will breed about three times a year, and hogs will jump any receptive sow ANY time of the year (kinda like some guys I know).

Dunno if there are peak times of the year when sows come into season, but if there is I've never heard of it.
