does anybody use a ratchet strap (rope or otherwise)to secure their cam to a tree? and also what about using something like an antifogger , or rainex to keep the camera's view from being blocked, would one of these type of products work?

My cam is just chained and locked. My wife gave me some stuff that keeps her glasses from fogging up and it works great. She got it at the wal-mart eye glasses section. Mike

I use a ratchet strap to secure my cameras. I put a stick-on bubble level on top so I can make sure the camera is pointed horizontally instead of into the sky or ground. If it's out of level I cut a wedge from a twig and shim it level.

I have been using chain to secure my cameras from being stolen but after humping two cameras and two chains about a half mile last weekend, I'll go with cables from here on.
