So on his fourth day out after shooting and tracking and losing a big boar it came down to this.
a twenty yard shot on a 100lb sow or pass and go home.
Thwack!
end of discussion.
Here's how it goes Shane drops this pig and then calls dad to help with the chore. Sorry dad but I bet you needed help on your first bowkill?
Huh whats that you say dad, a little louder I don't thoink I heard you?
You say you didn't need help cuz what?
What you say you never killed any pigs with your bow! you mean I killed a pig before you did?
well in that case I'll let you pay for the butcher.
Sorry dad.

Since I have yet to kill a pig with my bow!
I'm not allowed to talk.
The walnut tree was the only tree available to hang a gambrel on.

shane here, well here is how it all went down. this happend to be my 6th trip out to this little ranch about 15 min from my house. i arrowed a hog my first time there @ 8 yards, thoout i got him good but not much penatration {note to self , no god damn expandables on pigs!} needless to say ended up loosing him the next mornin. so last night me and o'fer{we call him o'fer because he just cant seem to hit anything that has a heartbeat} headed up there and the plan was to head up over to the spot where me and my dad had saw three bucks just the night before.as we headed up the side of the hill i looked across the valley to the hill and a heard of pigs feeding at the top. There was no question what i was going to do next. so we hauled ass for the truck ride up,park @ the water tower and start to make are way up the hill. so im halfway up the hill and i look up and these two boars keep peaking there head over the hill and going back about 5 different times the did this. by now im 50 yards from the top and i look back for matt{o'fer} and he isnt even half way up. i wait a bit for him but he's just sitting there, i yell to him ''i cant f#$%kn wait for ever there gonna get away''. then he says just go get' em. so i make my way up to the top, as soon as i get up there DAMN BUSTED or so i thought. wind was bad and boom they all take off. i noticed that they were slowing down as the went down the other side, so i thought i could sneak right up and get a shot off. so i belly crawl for about 50 or so yrds. there they are feeding just down the hill! i ranged the one big boar that i saw @ 34 yrds . as i go to draw down he spots me, damn not again i thought. as the start to slowly run away i picked a spot and let it fly. 30 somthin yards , thought it was the boar he had bolted out of there in a hurry and i ended up taggin this little sow. right behind the shoulder and stoped her damn near right there she was trying to get away but here front legs were 'nt workin to well. i then proceden to dispatch of her as quickly ass possible{ thanx to pigig for the demonstation}. one down more to come might be goin back tonight. ill keep ya posted.

I hope everyone here realizes that in the first place I never taught my son to cuss like a sailor!
It's a good thing for you Shane that your mother doesn't read JHO!
2nd. I didn't teach him how to spell or how to write a proper paragraph!
It's a good thing your Grandma the schoolteacher doesn't read JHO!
3rd. well Lucky shots like banking an 8 ball off the side rail and ACCIDENTLY rolling the 9 ball into the corner pocket doesn't count.

You gotta call your shot!
Right guys?
c'mon who's with me here?
<

Ok,
SHANE i'M PROUD OF YOU makes my hearty feel good to have been out there skinning with you at 11:00 on a weeknight when I gotta go to work at 6:30 in the morning. We can't all work for great guys like you do. Some of us have to be to work by 7:00am. Your one of the lucky few who has an understanding boss. You can tell him your gonna be late cuz you have to drop your pig off at the butchers and he covers for you.
Sorry for the rant I think I was saying how good it made me feel to be out in the feild with you knife by knife call me anytime you need an extra hand.

AS Show your dad how it's done?

I was merely pointing out that he was very very lucky that his boss was so understanding of these kinds of excuses for not being at work.
I wasn't naming any names.
but since you ask
yes I am.

PS by the way A.S. I still don't have my SMP magazine and it's been like 6 weeks since I subscribed, whats up with that?
