Shed help!

Hey guys, Im having some trouble at one particular spot finding sheds. I have found 4 sheds this year at my house but at my grandmas i cant find any, even last year i didn't pick up any....ive looked everywhere fence lines, pathways, bed areas...but i dont know where else to look. so if you could tell me if im looking in the wrong spots and give me some advice i would appreciate it...the land is really thick in spot and has those thorny trees-dont know if that helps ya or not.

it is likely that no deer were in that area during the time they were dropping.... the weather greatly affects their location, but it seems as though they often shed within the same relative area on a yearly basis.. perhaps that area doesn't attract them at that time of year... ???

ok i understand what your saying...but i have covered a lot of land there and i know there are plenty of bucks on parts where im looking so im confused??? also i heard that when a buck makes a rub on the north side of a tree, he'll bed south of it same goes for like east side and he'll bed west of it(ect) is this true?

Is someone else picking them up? I found a guy in the area I go to year after year. Found out he had been doing the same the past couple of years. I was wondering why I was finding less lately.

A deer does't pick a spot to drop his horns. the horns simply fall of thier head where the buck is when they're ready. the best thing to do is locate the bucks just prior to them dropping or shortly after and cover as much ground thouroughly as possible in that area. also, think like a deer!

Deer move more than we think.

I have pictures of a unique 8 point whitetail that hadn't lost his antlers yet, on two different trail cameras. One picture taken January 16 and one picture taken February 17. These pictures were taken 6 miles apart as the crow flys with two big creeks and a state highway in between.
During this same time span I have pictures of maybe 12 other bucks on those same two cameras that have lost one or both sides...

What I'm getting at is... if "Tippy"(yea I named him 'Tippy')... is travelling at least 6 miles during that time, I would say your deer may also be moving more than you think, maybe not 6 miles, but I'm betting even 1-2 miles would put them where you would least expect them to be..
