I use collapsible sticks called BIPOD. They have the elastic sting inside them the allow it to open up when taken out of the case. They have a rubber type hose at the top that you can either rest the gun on or stick though the loop.

Stoney Point man myself. Had a leather case with shoulder strap made for mine. As for stability and durability? My Sharps weighs 13lbs. and they've held up to the weight of it for more rounds than I can possibly remember and keeps it rock steady.

I made my own shooting sticks from some scrap oak wood of an old pallet. Found the directions on how to build them on "Varmint Al's" website.

They work great and I enjoy using something that I built better than something I bought.

I use the Stoney Point and am happy with them. I have never used any other ones so I can't compare them.

Editerd to add: Never mind! I just searched for "bipod shooting sticks" and quickly found www.bipodshootingsticks.com.
