I've used my .357 mag Blackhawk, up close and personal, but not at a distance. Didn't see them bounce off of anything. Personally I just carry my .30-30 Marlin 336c now. It is short and fast and hasn't done me wrong.

hunters will have this as a{back up} its very rare that you will need the backup unless you are nick who cant shoot worth
a damn!!!anyways, either one will do it,as always make the first shot count, what the heck was nick doing shootin the 45?
figuered he would have learned his lesson many years ago![/b]

LMAO Matt. I was thinking Nick may need more capacity when I heard him unload the rifle and the .45. I sent him a link to JHO he should be stumbling in here anytime now. Thanks for the input.

Any superlight 22 will be more than enough. If you need something bigger, just use your rifle.

You’ll find that you will need a pistol more to finish an animal off, then you will need one as a “back up”.

I carry a Ruger super Blackhawk 4 5/8" bbl in a hip holster and i realy dont notice it. I also have a Taurus Tracker 44mag that carries even better but I still like my RSBH better.
