I'm down to my last one of Jons slave boards.
This one is not firing. It also seems to be topping up the flash cap every 20 seconds or so. I can hear the high pitch and it only lasts for 3 or 4 seconds, but it does it every 20 seconds or so. The batteries are OK, 4 "C" cells at 6.28 volts.
The flash is new, so I would not think the flash cap is bad.
I hope the board isnt either.
The switch on the back is set to off like it should be.
I'll re check the wiring tomorrow to see if it's maybe the problem.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Greg,

Get with Jon, But sounds like somethings dragging down the charge, when cap peaks have you measured volatge? Can you watch it drain off? It will bleed But over a long period, Not quick like yer refering to..

Wondering if you used Hot glue somewhere and have a draw across components on the baord or something.

I got it to flash now.
The red wire was off.
But it still will not top off the cap. Still buzzes.
The adjustable pot seems to be the issue, maybe.
The more I turn it down. the less frequent the buzzing kicks in.
Up at max, the cap will not top off at all. Buzzes continually.
So I have it at about 35%, it ony buzzes for a second or 2 every few minutes.
I'm on my second new Viv flash and 3rd cap, so I'm sure they are OK.
I did get Jon on the line and we'll see what we can do.
