Heres a picture we got of a snake while riding 4 wheelers near Devils Den last fall....(date wrong on camera) My son saw it in a creek and started hollering at us to come see it. It looked like it was trying to catch his lunch so we watched a while. He was under water and swam up next to this boulder and coiled up and started thrashing around making a dust cloud under the water. The whole time he was doing this the tip of his tail was sticking out just past the cloud he was creating and was twitching around looking like a nice juicy worm. Well the fish just loved that and went closer to investigate. Just about the time this unlucky little fish got within range the snakes head came shooting out of the cloud of dust and caught the fish by the nose. It was pretty amazing. We watched a while and took several more pics and rode away letting him enjoy his lunch.

Heres another pic of him after he's almost to the tail of the fish. I really didnt think he could do it but their heads seem to stretch quite a bit.....

I think this would actually be a Northern Watersnake.....looks sort of like a Copperhead but the Copperheads are a little bit more pale in color.
