In short, no, there is not. Do a search here and you will find out all about hog hunting public land in CA. If you enjoy punishment, go for it. If you are like most of us you will quickly come to the conclusion that your are better off saving your pennies for Tejon or a Central Coast guided hunt.
SDHNTR is right. The pigs have really not made it down this (southern California)far as of yet. Who knows if they ever will. Tejon is about the southern most you can consistently find them. I have had some luck in Coalinga on public land. Saw some pigs but couldn't get the sights on 'em. Lots of sign up that way but lots of pressure as well. When that happens, pigs start to become more nocturnal and side-step the hunters that way. They will also start finding private land where pressure is nonexistent and hang out there. My advice would be to save up for a Tejon hunt. If you hit one of the pig-o-ramas you are given access to the property and allowed the take of one pig. You are essentially on your own (the cheap hunt) and can camp out for a weekend hunting. Your only requirement is to check out on Sunday. Good luck.
