Ok, I call on EVERYONE HERE TO HELP PLEASE!!
I am currently trying to find some SAFE LEGAL places
to go and shoot at NON paper non traditional targets.
Also not glass, Will be Bigger items Used computer towers
Etc. All our Debris will be removed happily!

I have tried contacting the BLM (*Which we need a smilie BLM SUCKS)
their website is a monster of garbage links, Invalid emails.
Also When I tried to click their "where to shoot" Link it took me
OFF THEIR SITE!!!.

Ok, Sorry now let me make this SHORT and efficent..

I am looking for some place preferably Within a hour or two Of
Orange county california (Brea, Fullerton etc). Where I can go with
some freinds and take a mix of Weapons, Shot gun, LR, Handguns
And set up some targets. Shoot the targets have a good day of
Safe responcable fun. Will at end of day happily clean up our Debris
and would be able to return in the future..

As of now BLM has NOT Helped they have only complicated the search..

Also If you have places I would like to be able to verify somewhat where it
is and mabey figure out how to get there, so please dont just say "Dirt
road in So and so valley" Please be a little more specific..

PLEASE mention as many places as possible
MAIN THING WOULD LIKE THEM TO BE CLOSE
TO ORANGE COUNTY AS POSSIBLE AND LEGAL!!

thank you

I guess you didn't find this link

http://www.ca.blm.gov/barstow/recshoot.html
I will check that out thanks,
I think i read it before, EXCEPT
I missed this little blurb

There is an irregular boundary south of the town of Barstow, Ca, where all types of legal weapon shooting is permitted. The "Shotgun Only" zone does not prohibit lawful skeet shooting.

Now I just need to find the "irregular boundary"

I have contacted the BLM, I think i FINALLY got ONE email through after about 4 or so bounced..

Great to see tax dollars Wasted so well..

But thanks, I will check for that irregular boundary..

If its a big safe enough legal area, I may end up there sometime soon..

Scroll down the page to "County Shooting Regulations."

The San Bernardino Co.Shooting Zone Map is the one you want.

And try to relax a little bit...

I have used the Big Pine Flats shooting areas. They are alright for pistol shooting and
22 plinking. There really isn't many long distance opportinities. It seems to be a safe area and I haven't had any problems there. Should check with rangers for fire closures
and any updates.

You can camp at Big Pine Flats Camp ground nearby ...

If you go out 15N over the Cajon pass there is a lot of open land West of the 15 near Hesperia/Victorville. I've done target shooting and varmint hunting out there.

Sounds pretty good, Although will local sherif and or BLM, Verify this area to be ok and legal to target shoot?.

sorry but i MUST be able to verify places, I dont want to risk facing a barrel and seeing blue and red lights flashing and having my guns taken away.

I do believe you shouldn't have any problem getting local authorities to concur. A couple of hunting buddies have lived out there for years and have done a lot of hunting out there.

Someone had opened a range on 395 north of Adelanto. You might call them and ask if they'd allow a "shoot-n-sweep". Anyone know the name of the range?

As near as I can figure all non formal shooting areas in the Cleveland Nat'l forest were the first to get shut down this year. They were posted mid May. I just went to the local spot outside Hemet and all of them are posted no shooting now. They are citing fire danger in both cases.

Anybody in SBNF or Cleveland see any areas still open?
