So many to choose from...which one and why

I am just beginning my AR research and need help. I dont know much. I have multiple rifles and shotguns for hunting and want an AR for sport shooting and since I am in CA and have no idea when the state will try and outlaw this type of gun I want one soon. This state sucks when it comes to guns!!!!

I looked at CMMG's today and they seem to be nice guns. Granted I was at a gun shop who only sold those and they only had great things to say about them.

What do you guys shoot and why??? Looking to spend around $1000.

Try checking out: GunFX Parker, Arizona 928-669-3079 In the bottom left click on the "current adds" you can pick up an AR for $600. My buddy has the 5.56 model one and loves it.

I purchased a S&W and a Rock River Arms. I am building a hunting AR with a JD machine lower with a custom upper on a SS air gauged bull barrel in 223 wyled (RRA barrel).

I recently built a AR for a LE friend of mine and it cost him about $900 after every thing but its a tactical AR and not a hunting AR although I'm sure you can use it for hunting.
