Saturday, my wife and a friend and I went to the aqueduct near Quartz Hill. It was bad timing, as we didn't get there until about 11:00 AM, and could only fish 2 or 3 hours in the middle of the day.

This was our first try in the area for stripers. We've been big on aqueduct catfish near Hesperia, but there are very few stripers downstrean of the pumping station.

We landed zero, but my wife had 3 followers of medium size, and I had one whopper of a hookup on a white bucktail jig & rubber trailer. That sucker was on for only a few seconds when it straightened-out the hook and got off.

We live about an hour and a quarter from there, but we will most definitely try again, either earlier in the morning, or later in the afternoon/evening.
