SoCal deer hunting equipment advice

I'm going to be big game hunting for the first time this year. Up until now I've been an Upland Bird guy so shotgun only. I will be hunting (provided the areas aren't closed bc of all the fires) in D11 & 14. I was just wondering what kind of equipment you all would recommend. I've been watching a lot of Randy Newberg lately, and he has a lot of stuff he carries, but I'm not hunting out in Montana, and it will be mostly day hunts.

What kind of pack do you guys recommend? I'm assuming I should get something expandable for meat bags like a Mystery Ranch Pop-up 28 or something similar?

I've got good binos; currently shopping for a decent spotting scope. I have a cooler, knife with replaceable blades for skinning, shooting sticks. (should I bring a bipod?). Do I need snake boots? Never used them in Imperial or Kern county where I'd go dove, quail, or chukar hunting.

I’ve been hunting those zones for years. I know plenty of people will disagree with me, but I keep it simple. Field dressing stuff, water, binoculars, first aid, some paracord and my rifle/bow. It’s all inside what looks like an oversized fanny pack, but with shoulder straps.

Kuiu 5200, spotter, binos, tripod, first aid, food, water, some sort of water purification just in case(I carry iodine tabs in my Bino harness), game bags, zip ties, paracord, Thermarest par for glassing, trekking poles, puffy jacket bc the am could be freezing and it’s super light, headlamp, extra batteries, phone with onx offline maps pre downloaded and possibly a small battery pack to charge phone depending on how well I know the area
