Nice Boar Bigtusker! I just got into hog hunting recently and took a small
boar last weekend he only weighed 118 lbs but I bet he is going to be
some fine eating. Now that I've seen yours and have been told that there
is some very large boars on the property I hunt I'm glad I hunt out of a tree stand
with my bow and not on the ground! lollol

A couple of those hogs are larger than your average piggie!

Wow, impressive looking piggies. There is a huge pig problem at the golf course by my house, but of coarse you can't shoot them because the course is inside city limits, and the complany who owns the course only wants an "exterminator" to handle them.

bigtusker,
Really nice hogs! I think we all want to know the story on them. How were you able to hunt on a golf course?

The course is a 36 hole Jack Nicklaus signature course situated between a riverbottom and rolling hills. The pigs come onto the course at night and wreak havoc. My friend has the contract to try to keep them out of there. I go with him on occasion to help out. It's pretty cool cruising around the course at night on quads and shooting hogs. It is totally legal. We have a depradation permit from Fish & Game and always advise the local warden when we are going to be there. It's not all fun and games though. We have to wait till all the golfers are gone and then wait for the hogs to show up. Sometimes we are out there till 5 a.m. That gets old after a while. I will put links to some more pics from the golf course later this morning.

I don't know, Chopper...it sure sounds like fun to me! We have to get the guys together for another hunt at your place this Spring. Keith and Dan and Tim are up for it and I'm sure Tyson would join us, too. Keith has that new .223 to work out on some ground squirrels, too.

Unfortunately, my place will no longer be available for rifle hunting after January 1st, 2003.

The ranch will be archery only for hogs and turkeys, shotgun for quail.

BigTusker,

Is this the Golf Course off of Hwy 101 or is it the one in the Evergreen area that pig problem was on the news a few weeks ago?
