Cool Deal. Nice to see another DRebel'r out there. I don't know how much you want to spend on the next lens, but the 100-400L is a mighty sweet lens! I am very happy with my purchase. I have also read good things about the Bigma(50-500).Originally posted by Ridn9high@Mar 11 2005, 08:39 AM
I am shooting a canon rebel. I have the lens that the camera comes with and a 200mm that I use on most my wildlife shots. Looking to get a 300-400mm lens in the next couple of months.
When you are coming in highway 78 and heading towards Borrego springs, there is a campground there called Tamarisk Grove. It is one of the two main camp grounds. When you are pulling out of the campground like you had spent the night you will T into a main road. Directly in front of you is a ridge line. Apparently this is the area the ews come in the spring to have their babys. They should be having them right about now according to the local rangers (who for the most part were useless if you ask me). My advice is head south in the park, I liked it much better, less people and nice flowers. We took S1 south all the way to the bottom of the park and camped off one of the side dirt roads that went up into a canyon. There is a killer palm oasis about a 1/2 mile walk from Bow Willow campground down S1 in the south end. Here it is from a distanceOriginally posted by foulshot@Mar 11 2005, 04:03 PM
My wife has been wanting to go out and see the flowers, so I'm glad to hear the bloom is good. Where did you see the Bighorn at? I guess I'll take the long lens too!
