Sportsman Show Comes to National Western Complex This Summer
Denver, Colorado - Colorado hunters and outdoor enthusiasts will experience their 1st Annual Big Game Expo & Outdoor Show this summer at the National Western Complex in Denver.
The event will take place in the National Western's Hall of Education July 25-27, 2008. The venue will provide over 200,000 square feet of space and estimated attendance should reach over 10,000 hunters, families and outdoor enthusiasts from Colorado.
This sportsman's destination promotes and supports the hunting, fishing and outdoor lifestyle of families across the Rocky Mountains. The Big Game Expo will stimulate the economy for Colorado based companies and provide much-needed products for people planning a hunt. Over $1.5 Billion was spent on hunting and fishing in Colorado in 2004, supporting over 20,000 industry-related jobs for Colorado residents. Exhibitors at the show will cover all categories of sportsmanship, including big game hunting, upland bird hunting, waterfowl, fly fishing, travel, camping and outdoor recreation.
But the attractions of this show make this a unique event. "We want to produce a sportsman's show that offers more than just booths…activities that you can't find at any other show" states Keith Dailey, show producer and host of nationally televised "Hunting Lease Television Series".
Attendees will find plenty to do at the event, including activities scheduled for all members of the family. The Colorado Bowhunter's Association will showcase a youth archery range and the Bijou Bullseye Classic 3D Archery Tournament will bring in hundreds of local competitive archery shooters. Plus attendees of the event can register for a chance to win a dream hunt, including Bull Elk, Goose, Wild Boar, Turkey and the $50,000 African Safari for four people!
Activities will include live pack horse demonstrations, bird-dog training lessons, waterfowl calling contests and seminars by industry professionals. The Game Calling stage will showcase demonstrations on Elk calling by four-time World Elk Bugling Champion John Sarkisian. Attendees can see a 7x7 Live Bull Elk on site and take a walk through a Wildlife Walk of big game animals from around the World.
Food, beverages and fun always make for a great festival or trade show, and the "Wild Beast Feast" Chili Cookoff will be offering tasty chili samples on Saturday July 26. The Big Game Expo will offer an experience that's relaxing, comfortable and exciting for Colorado outdoor enthusiasts.
