I need a spotting scope for range use that I can see a .22 hole at 100 yards with and not bust my wallet getting it, I have a tasco that does not do a decent job even at 50 yards.
Any suggestions ? How are the winchester and Nikon spotting scopes or is it just another peice of junk?

I would recommend Burris if your looking to stay under $200. Both the 15-45 or their 20-60 you should be able to find at a good price from Midway or Natchez. I'm very happpy with the quality of the glass.
