I'm tired of my off brand old second hander. I am starting to research for a new one. What size lens works for your guys. I'm also wondering about the strait or angled. I know angled is better for looking up hill in steep country but what about down hill? A have a medium range budget. I want something that does fairly well in low light, waterproof, light weight. oops I probably just out priced myself with that. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a Nikon 80mm. I think it's too big and heavy. I never take it. My huntin' buddy has a new Zeiss 60mm. I think it's just right. Not sure about the angled models. I think if you spot for extended periods of time, it would put too much strain on the neck. And, I agree, if you are sitting in the sage, it would be tough to get a look at anything below.
