I'M LOOKING TO BUY MY 1ST SPOTTING SCOPE. I GREW UP HUNTING IN MICH.
(UPPER PENISULA) REAL THICK WOODS NEVER REALLY NEEDED GLASSES MOST SHOTS UNDER 100 YARDS.I LIVE IN SO CAL NOW AND IT SEEMS TO BE NECESSARY , LOOKING TO SPEND $250, ANYTHING DESENT IN THAT RANGE.

For that price you might be able to get a Bushnell Spacemaster, they're pretty good for the price. If you can afford a little more I'd get the Baush & Lomb 15-45x60mm Elite. I have one and they're awesome. Waterproof with PC-3 phase coating, and they're compact.
