Spotting Scopes

Checked out the Nikon and Leopold 15-45X60 spotting scopes today, had to say the Nikon was a lot clearer. Anyone use any of these scopes or any other type at a comperable price of around $300 - $400. Im interested in getting some opinions before I make a purchase...Thanks

Try the Nikon next to the Leupold Gold Ring 12x40 and see what you think. I know it's not in the right price range, but what a scope.....hronk

I had the Nikon spotter XL kit and loved it. Very lite/compact and quite clear. I sold it on ebay a few years back. I now have the Swarovski STS80. I compared the Nikon to another Swarovski spotter scope I had (ATS80HD) and at 30x and below it was quite the same. But at the higher ranges it wasn't as clear. Best of luck.
