Texas has had alot of rain showers in the last month. Couple that with some plant fertilizer and you get petunias on steriods!

You know what else the rain is good for?? Antler growth. I cant wait for this year's crop of whitetails.. Stay tuned to whitetail-photography.com.

My circumstances however have drastically changed this year. I am not going to have access to all of the same hot spots that I did last year. I think this will be okay though. The main downside is that I am going to have to spend more effort scouting, tracking, logging, and investigating in order to find my prime photo spots and subjects. The other issue is that I am going to be positioning in heavier woods. This is good and bad. Good because I will not spook as many deer and probably see bigger ones. Bad because being in the woods is darker and harder to get good exposure and shutter speed on my camera. Plus focusing in heavy cover is a huge pain and very difficult. I was hoping to get a trail cam established by now to let that help me filter out good spots from not so good spots.. but life circumstances has changed gears lately and currently spare time comes at a premium.

Sounds like a new adventure...I think you will enjoy the change in scenery.
We have heavy timber and brush here and it's not too bad for focusing, but it can drive you mad once in a while when you miss that one good picture

Can't wait for some pictures.

Yeah cliff, it definitely will be a new adventure. The change in environment will definitely have the potential to add alot of new atmosphere to the photos. I am looking forward to that.. But rest assured, I will probably be posting up here all frustrated that the cam focused on the branch in front of me, instead of that big 10pt monster..
