hey i too am just starting to bowhunt...and have never hunted wild pig....i have a few areas i will be scouting later in the month when time allows but have a couple questions....if it doesnt work out what is the normal price you pay for a pig hunt ...are the tags good all year or just the same as a license....is there a good link to get info on different ranches....dont they have the same needs as domestic pigs...water when its hot cause they dont sweat...or mud-swampy areas...i am going to try the public areas first for a year...just to see ...guess thats why you call it hunting and not killing

scouting is a must...if the land you plan to hun does not require a bow, I would use a gun.... lots of links about guided hunts on the forum, do a search...tags good all year, same as the license....they do have the same needs as domestic pigs, but maybe not as extreme as the domestic pigs due to hunting pressure...good luck.

yes, the pig tags run the same as the license....i give you balls to try with a bow, but I can tell you that on public land if you really want to get a pig, i would use a rifle if at all possible...yep, lots of hiking is a sure thing....
