I was out for a half day hunt on private not far from Lake Sonoma during this last storm. Fresh sign EVERYWHERE, evidence of large numbers of hogs, etc.... In a 10 mile hike we saw nothing! The only place left unchecked was the big timber. I was surprised the pigs were so sensitive to the rain. I always see something on non-rainy days. Any thoughts from you pros?

I'd be suprised, too. In my experience, pigs don't seem to be too bothered by rain.

I would expect them to be out and feeding, perhaps under stands of oaks for some relief from the rain. Otherwise, if they were on the same property you were on, they must have been balled up in the brush or heavy timber.
