I and several others noticed that we are getting more "False Alarms" (pix but no animals) and more Sun Glare in our pix's lately so I did a search to see what compass direction the Sun rose and Set at and found the following information.

It looks as tho the Compass MID Point between Rise/Set is always NORTH but at this time of year (June/July) the degrees from North is at the Minimum.

So.....   it's critical to point the Cam Due North to prevent Glare on the PIR and false alarms (and glare in pix's)

This chart is based on 40 deg Lat but the Addy below it is where I got the Data (I found 3 sources of Azimuth Data and all agreed on the Degress BTW)

Now, if I could just find the Formula for this I'd write a small program to........

That's some good data Tinhorn you always seem to go that extra step.
To keep it simple i just always "try" and point my cams northward or southward to avoid the sunrise/sunset. This being said the last roll(and my best so far) came from a cam pointed due east but it was under heavy cover so this will also minimize the affects.
