Hey all,
Living in a desert we don't get much rain but today was one of those days. Rain all day! I enjoyed it but it made for muddy roads to get to where we could walk for sheds. In between storms we were lucky to get out and pulled in 6 elk sheds in a couple hours. Then we got rained out for rest of the day. Heres a few pics of the finds. Total was 2 fresh sheds and 4 old ones.

Nice fresh 6pt antler:

Heres a fresh 5 pt elk antler:

And here is a year old 5 pt with a busted G1:

Didn't take pics of the other 3 horns, they were 3 and 4 pt elk antlers.

Thanks for looking,

Ernesto

Great job on the finds I always enjoy looking at your pics. Are the elk in your area prarie elk, or are the just wintering low. I see some mountains in the backgrounds. The elk where I shed hunt in montana drop antlers high and low. This year was a real wierd year with them dropping real low in the valleys, have actually found whitetail and muleys in with them.

We usually "stash" the sheds and make several trips out with them if we find a lot. Sometimes we use our packframes just most the time we just have backpacks.

The elk are "desert" elk as where they winter at they also summer at. The terrain is mostly sagebrush with sand dunes. This particular "spot" there are a few pine trees, but not many.
