Just got back from a weekend at my neighbors ranch in Tehema Co. I was up there to disk his fields be fore we brodcast and plant some barley for his stock (Thanks again Chopper for the Barley info).

Driving around the ranch, I saw a lot of fresh rooting, but after several mornings and evenings, and no hog sightings, my luck changed!

OK, I caught the hog feeding under an oak tree at about 4 pm. I was able to close to 35 yards and got a quartering towards shot and took it. Because of the angle, I was able to get one lung and the hog went about 100 yards before piling up.

The hog was a sow that went 155 lbs. That same afternoon, I saw a BIG boar but was unable to close the distance...

Nice hog Jeff, congrats. Did you put it on the hood or the trunk of that pink bug though? And why is it that damn pic of Tony always comes up at lunch time

Thanks Steve! It would not fit in my Bug, so I called up LD and he was able to trailer it behind his Mazda Miata!

Congratulations! Nice pig! Why didn't you put it in the passenger seat? If my friends could get six guys mostly fit in Karmann Ghia, I know you can get a pig in a bug.
