How was the Management hunt on the south side last weekend?

I think they ended up with 22 hogs for 35-40 ish hunters. Two more came into <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

<st1laceType w:st="on">camp</st1laceType> <st1laceName w:st="on">Sunday</st1laceName></st1lace> as we were leaving, but the gate though they had been checked in

We had a party of four hunt the April management hunt last weekend. We bagged two pigs on Friday and one on Saturday. All sows. One was 210-pounds, 110-pounds and 120-pounds.

All in all a tough hunt. We only saw the pigs we took. We hunted hard Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and never saw another pig. Still a realy good time.

Also, all pigs dropped in their tracks with non-lead 30-06.

north side tips

for all of you doing the northside management hunt this weekend have a blast....and be very carefull in your big trucks or suvs....ive been up there 10 times so far this spring and have seen over 100 pigs on every visit....
Tejon canyon is always a great spot...but you can bet that it will be very busy....for those of you that want to spread out a lil go to the west side of the ranch...towards the grapevine as it gets lil pressure and holds a ton of hogs.....

I got a nice boar friday evening. It weighed 135 after I dressed it. Did not pre trip my camera, so I didn't get pics before I skinned it. I have some of it the cooler. It was a really good time.

Nice, congrats. Can hardly wait till this weekend. How far were most of the shots taken do you reckon?

I shot at about 225 yds, by the time I left saturday, it was the only pig taken. I'm sure there were many more taken sat and sunday. They were down until late in the evening though. Saw about 30 on friday and 4 saturday morning.

i left sunday morn and only 3 had been taken for about 30 hunters. i have never not been able to find them on tejon but this weekend was different. not sure why but only saw 4 before shooting light on saturday morn.
