What is the name of the outfitter that runs the hog bow hunts out of Tejon? Any one have a contact number? Any one hunted with them? Thanks.

Are you talking about the archery shop hunts?

sdbow,
not sure. I think I saw a flyer for them at Performance Archery but I also remember some talk about them here a while back. I tried a search but I can't recall the outfitters name.

Turners does a Tejon hunts. Don't know if it's for bow only. Also, the guy that owns Willow Creek Archery in Escondido does a few trips as well.

Thanks guys but I found it on an old thread. Big Country outfitters. They do a semiguided hunt for $425. Anyone used them?

SD,

I did mine through Bob Fromme's place at Performance Archery and it's basically the same thing as Big Country Outfitters. Even the same guide in my case. I really enjoyed it and they put you in a different part of the ranch than the Pig-o-Ramas. It's actually semi-guided. The difference is that Don knows where the pigs have been in the last few days and tells you where they've been. He'll ask you what you're interested in and give you options for what you're looking for. Our group went 5 for 6 which is excellent for any archery hunt. It doesn't allways go that well depending on a lot of factors. The only thing I didn't like is something that some really want. You HAD to sleep in the cabin. I would have rather slept outside.
