Tejon Ranch pigs

I've been hunting tejon ranch (bowhunter - explorer package) for the past month and have seen a few smaller pigs but no giants. I usually hunt the west side (area 10 and north of area 10). I've seen a lot of trucks up there lately but haven't heard a lot of shots. Has anyone been seeing any. Where do they go when it dries up? When it was wet I saw quite a few more pigs. Any suggestions? How about a few Tejon ranch stories!!!

What is the Explorer package? How much does it cost, what are you entitled to harvest, and do you need a guide? I'm a WU member but it's time to start looking for a new place to hunt. Thanks.

When things dry up they hole up on a hillside close to water. They HAVE to come in to water at some point during the day and maybe twice. Try a well-used water source around 4 when you're dreading to be out in the sun. You'll definitely see them and hear them in what they call the "Monty Fields" all day. Getting a shot in that stuff is the tough part and they are smaller ones in there.
