Well, I finally got some of the pics from my Tejon trip the first part of this month. Anyways, there were 11 of us on an archery only hunt. Only one got a pig, but we all saw quite a few and just didn't connect. Saw a lot of elk and turkey, plus a bobcat. It was a great trip. Here's a pic of my buddies meat hog...

Where my truck almost went over the side after sliding in a snow bank...

Some turkeys we saw after getting the truck un-stuck....

and headin' out on the last night...

The truck wouldn't have gone too far over the side since those trees were there. Just past that branch on the left side in the snow is where my back tire was hangin' over the side. The ground started sliding out from under that tire too. (Note to self: let someone else make the first tracks in a fresh snow drift) But having to explain the damage to the truck because I did something stupid got me to pucker a little.

All I can say is, I'm glad I bought that Hi-Lift jack and the winch kit for it...best $150 I've spent in a while.

Good job. Tough hunt with a bow. Sure is fun though.

Nice tracks in the snow. I got a little sketchy in that same spot in mid-Feb.

Congratulations on that booootiful pig!!!! Regarding slipping and sliding in the snow(or rain) on those towering Tejon ridges, you guys are brave. Congrats again. 'Nuff said.

There aint a place on earth that scares me like them Tejon tracks. One bit of moisture and it's pucker city. Not thanks. Nice work on the pigs. That's a tough hunt for sure.

Yeah, by far tejon is the worst four-wheelin i've done, damn those roads get pretty scarry!! Good luck full-sizers trying to follow a jeep or toy, when those roads get nasty!!

I tried driving through one of those innocent looking snow patches at Tejon and ended up over the side.

The only thing that kept it from rolling was that it sank in the mud as it went over the side.

AHHHHHH ! I'm a little more cautious now.

If it's wet at Tejon I lock the chains on and keep her in low, but those roads, and One Track's driving, can really make the sphincter tighten up.

Congrats on the pig to your buddy, they are fun to hunt there, no better place on earth, like that place was built for chasing pigs with a bow.

I have been lucky to have three trips there in the last year, all three with a bow and all three I had shots, though I only connected once, getting a shot there is hard enough.

How was the weather?

It was real nice...40's at night and 70's during the day. Wednesday was cloudy until the afternoon. It was a good time. Second time there and had a shot but didn't connect. Headin' up to HE Ranch (WU prop) in May...can't wait to check out that place. I hear it's a good pig property.
